Brian Hasday is Executive Vice President of Frenkel Benefits – an EPIC Company, responsible for managing the firm’s financial team, directing complex and data-intensive client deliverables, and joining with other executive leadership in the execution of strategic initiatives and ongoing operations of Frenkel Benefits.
Brian has been with Frenkel since 2009, when he joined post-MBA as the second founding member of Frenkel’s dedicated financial team. Since joining, he has led the financial team’s growth to a team of ten and has guided the department’s evolution, notably its integration with Frenkel’s carrier marketing function and the development of frameworks, templates and financial models for client work.
He handles projects with extensive financial modeling or analysis of significant amounts of data, including the integration of previously separate benefits programs and many comprehensive strategic benefit program financial reviews. Brian developed Frenkel’s proprietary ACA cost impact model and has spearheaded strategic planning projects for a number of major clients around issues of variable hour employees and the affordability test under the employer mandate.
Brian is also deeply involved in operations and management. He plays a significant internal role in FP&A, handling management reporting and budgeting. Additionally, he is engaged in the analysis of Frenkel’s current capabilities and development of new ones, including the establishment of vendor partnerships.
Brian has an MBA with focuses in corporate finance and strategy from the Olin Business School at Washington University in Saint Louis and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Washington University and the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
Brian lives in Brooklyn and enjoys hiking, skiing, international travel, and cooking with his fiancée, Chloe, in their free time. He is also training for his second New York City Marathon, although he doesn’t always enjoy it.
